Expensive Golf
We had heard of the shortage of golf balls, but didn’t realise until six were offered for snip at the Rialto Auction Mart on Friday last, that the shortage was so acute. The balls offered for sale were new, and their value, at the most would be o/6, yet they were sold for 10s each. We can guess that the buyer will be most careful “to keep his eye on the ball.” At 10s a time he would need to.
