OBITUARY

MR. D. W. MACKAY. * 1 ' A CAMBRIDGE BOY The death occurred at the Waikato Hospital on Sunday last of a well-known resident and a Cambridge boy, in Mr Donald William Mackay, aged 28 years. The late Mr Mackay was born in Auckland and was the eldest son of the late Mrs Rose Mackay, of 29 Queen Street. He came to Cambridge with his parents as a child, was educated at the Cambridge School and had resided here since. The late Don. Mackay was a butcher by trade and in late years conducted the business in Victoria Street known as the “Reliance” Butchery. His end was tragically sudden for he went to the Waikato Hospital on Thursday last. Previously he had enjoyed good health. He was the possessor of a happy character and much sympathy will go out to the now only remaining members of family—a brother, Mr Angus Mackay ,of Cambridge, and a sister, Miss Charlotte Mackay, of Hamilton. A sister-in-law is Mrs Irene Mackay.
