HUNTING
MEET AT WHATAWHATA
LARGE FOLLOWING
There was a large field of about 70 followers, and a number of cars at the Waikato Hunt Club’s meet at Whatawhata on Saturday last. The field was led by' the Master, Mr Wynn Brown, and a good , day’s sport was had over the properties of Messrs F. Higgins and Townsend. Hares were scarce at first, one being eventually found, which gave the field a good run over a distance of about three miles, finally being lost in a tangle of gorse and bracken. Very generous morning and afternoon teas were served by the ladies of the district at the Whatawhata Hall.
