BOYS OVERSEAS
£ IN P.O.W. CAMP PTE. KEN COULTER 1 Mr and Mrs W. J. Coulter, of' Hamilton Road, Cambridge, have ■* had the pleasure recently of receiv-: ng two excellent photographs of heir youngest son, Pte. Kenneth Coulter who is in a P.O.W. camp in Germany (Stalag XVIII.A.). Pte. Coulter went 1 away with the 3rd. Echelon and was captured in Greece. During his long period as a “P. 0.W.” he has “celebrated” three birthdays, including his 21st., in camp. • A group photograph shows Pte. Coulter in the “household” as he calls it—a group of four. They include: J. (Jimmy) Everest, of Hamilton. Prior to enlisting Pte. Everest vvas an employee of Messrs Ell's and Burnand. The remaining are’ “Tommies.” Pte. Coulter says: “Winter is very nearly here now anth our garden is practically bare.” Pte. Coulter expected to* be engfged cutting down trees for firewood during the winter period. It appears that the men were allowed out of camp under guard for a day and during it they had : the photographs taken. These were sewn with wOol into the ordinary P.O.W. camp letter-folder.
