“THE COWBOY AND THE LADY” FINAL SCREENING TONIGHT Screening finally at the Tudor Theatre tonight, after the threeday season, will be “The Cowboy and the Lady,” which features Gary Cooper and Merle Oberon in a hilarious romantic comedy. Harry Carey, one of the bestknown portrayers cff Western characters on. the screen, is said to have his most colourful role in “The Law West of Tombstone,” which will be the first.of a double programme at the Tudor Theatre tomorrow night only. The actor is seen as a blustering, braggart Texan who is able to back up his bluffs with an unerring sixgun, and who establishes himself as both Mayor and Judge in a little Arizona town.. His adventures form backbone of the exciting story. Tim Holt and Jean Rouverol have romantic leads in the RKO Radio film.

A mystery so bewildering that it

has to be solved twice is the situation facing the Roving Reporters, Michael Whalen and Chick Chandler, in their latest escapade, “While New York Sleeps,” murder mystery screening on the same programme. “While New York starts out innocently enough with Michael Whalen and Chick Chandler getting away from it all by starting for a month’s vacation in the country. Thpy are hardly Inside the cottage door when the telephone rings and the city editor of jffie newspaper breaks the news v that Steve Martin, insurance detective and friend of Whalen’s, has committed suicide. They hurry back to the city and set about proving that Martin has really been murdered. Their difficulty is to prove their theory in the police and they are blamed themselves until an unexpected turn, is taken in the story.
