THE CENTENNIAL

MEETING IN CAMBRIDGE FORMATION OF COMMITTEE To decide the part that Cambridge will take in the celebration of the Centennial of New Zealand, a public meeting will be held in the Council Chamber next Tuesday evening. The main business will be to form a local committee to control any activities that are undertaken.

An improvement scheme for/ the municipal swimming baths is one of the major projects under consideration, and this matter will be fully discussed at the meeting. In order to secure the Government Subsidy, all schemes must be approved by the local committee. A large attendance is desired at the meeting, which it is hoped will be representative of all sections of the community.
