CAMBRIDGE SUB-ASSOCIATION THE ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Cambridge Cricket Sub-association was held on Thursday evening, when the president, Mr F. M. Oliver, presided over a large attendance of members and supporters. ~)■ The report stated that 15 games were played in the competition, last season and resulted in the .City, Club winning the championship banner.. The. bat presented by Mr E.. Hughes for the most improved player was awarded to Mr E. Mullcr. Marked improvement was shown by several players and it is expected that further advancement will be evidenced in the future. The finances were shown to be in a healthy state, there being a surplus of £l2 10/-, after paying off the debts of the old Cambridge Club. The accounts show receipts totalling £46 17/4 and a cash balance in hand of £l6 12/6. Among the payments was £l9 15/- for cricket gear.. Election of Officers The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr F.Lye, M.P.; president, Mr T. F. Kerr; vice-presidents, Messrs R. Mills, D, Low, L, Barnes, C. F. Critchley, J..G. Catran, W. E. Garrard and F. M. Oliver. Secretary and treasurer, Mr.G, j\ S, Mclvcnzic; selectors, Messrs N, Mclhnnon, R. Hughes, T. F. Kerr; auditor, Mr A. E. Batchelor; delegates to South Auckland Association, Messrs., McKenzie and Barnes. During the evening the president presented the championship banner do-, nated by MrH,> J.~ Giles to. Mr E.. Hughes, the captain of the City Club. The winners were congratulated on their cxeellqnt performance. Subscriptions were fixed at" 12/6, roducable to 10/- if paid within two months for adults; 7/6. for boys under 18. An offer from a supporter to donate a pair of cricket trousers to the most improved player was accepted with thanks. The affiliation fee of the country clubs association was fixed at 10/6 and a delegate'is to be invited to join the management committee. The meeting closed with votes of thanks to the "press ' and. Messrs A. GPillinger and B. S. Entwistle for their valuable assistance. " !
