OPPOSITE VIEWS.

(To the Editor). Sir.—ln Saturday’s issue, Mr T. A. Hicks, replying to Mr F. H. Anderson, states that Mr Dynes Fulton has denounced the Country Party and is actively supporting Mr Stewart Reid, the Coalition Candidate for Raglan. But what do we find? Mr Reid, speaking at Ohaupo, stated he whole hcartedly advocated free trade with Great Britain, one of the main planks of the Country Party. Denunciation of the Country Party and advocation of its main planks is hardly consistent. On the other hand, we find Mr Clinkard, Coalition candidate for Rotorua advocating high protective duties in favour of secondary industries. How Messrs Forbes and Coates deal with their team of candidates, containing men of diametrically opposed views is difficult to know.—l am, etc., ELECTOR.
