HELP FOR RELIEF WORKERS DEDUCTION FROM WAGE'S. A scheme which met with tho whole hearted support of those present at a meeting of Hamilton unemployed on Tuesday evening was detailed by a member, Mr R. W. Steele. There were many relief workers in Hamilton, he said, who would be unable to pay the levy this month, and with this fact in view ho had interviewed officials of the local Labour Department, who had arranged for payment to be made, and the amount to be deducted from relief workers’ wages at tho rate of 1/- a week. All names submitted for this privilege would bo considered by the Hospital Board and the Borough Council.
