TRAIN DERAILED
SEVENTEEN TRUCKS WRECKED SUSPENSION OF MAIN TRUNK TRAFFIC. Seventeen trucks were smashed to matchwood when a waggon in a southbound goods train jumped the rails at Iviokio, a small station 111 miles south of Auckland and three miles north of Otorohanga, at 10 o'clock last evening. Tho train, consisting of 25 to 30 trucks carrying coal and produce, was approaching the Iviokio station when the truck next to the engine left the rails. All tho evidence pointed to extensive damage to the line, and it was expected that traffic on the Main Trunk would be delayed for many hours before the track is cleared. It was thought that there would be a possibility of getting the Limited express through Iviokio at a late hour this afternoon. The Limited was dotained at Te Awaniutu while the second express was dclavcd at Frankton Junction.
