SWIMMING

THE FINAL CARNIVAL. IN AID OF EARTHQUAKE RELIEF. The Cambridge Amateur Swimming Club held its final gala for this season on Saturday, the proceeds of which were in aid of the earthquake relief fund. ' The attendance however was rather disappointing, as was the nonappearance of the Auckland and Hamilton swimmers. The carnival was nevertheless carried out in an expeditious manner and those present were treated to some fine displays of swimming and diving. The feature of the evening was the deciding of the men's 100yds South Auckland championship, for which four of the .12 entrants appeared. The items rendered by the band were much appreciated and helped to enliven proceedings. The Results.
