WAIKATO SHOW.

SATISFACTOEY RESULT. Although a loss of £229 was experienced on the last show of the Waifcato Agricultural and Pastoral Association, the general result of the show, considering the weather and other adverseconditions, is not regarded as unsatisfactory, according to Mr G. W. Park, treasurer, who has prepared a preliminary statement on the financial position. This document shows the principal items of revenue as follows (the figures for the previous year being, given in parentheses) :—Subscriptions 7 , £6OO (£557); entry fees, £443 (£477)? donations, £450 (£592); gates, £I9C (£330). The association experienced «• loss of £252 last year. While the position of the association is bad, there have been many generous donations which have gone a great way towards reducing the deficit, and the burden will be very little heavier than it wasat the former balance. A committee will probably be set up to endeavour to> effect economies of working.
