WHAT THE SITTEES SEE AND THINK. AT THE MATRICULATION EXAM. Waiting for a brain wave, Striving for ideas, Oh! ho.w disturbing are the Supervisor’s ears! A facial twitch, a little sniff — Surely I’ll remember something in a ' JUti But no! he’s moving, rising from his chair; He’s passing lingers through his hair. The minutes fly; I gaze on high — There’s inspiration on the ceiling. The Supervisor’s on the move. I’ve got a sort of feeling — He’s passing close, ami peeping Oh yes, peeping—o’er my shoulder. A vacant feeling is inside of me. Ah! here comes the Supervisor’s tea. Some, too, would make me bolder. I chew my pc it, consult my toes, Oh! now' he’s going to blow his nose. He’s dozing now, so very quiet — It must have bepn the morning diet. Well, things seem so much easier now, I’m really feeling quite “highbrow-”; I think I’ll get through this alright, With mannerisms out of sight. —C.C.W.C, ' matriculating-.
