YESTERDAY'S LOCAL SALE.
The Farmers' Auctioneering Co. report as follows on their Cambridge sale held at the local yards yesterday. We held our local sale at the yards yesterday, when average yardings were brought forward in all classes of stock, and throughout late rates were maintained. We quote as follows : Fat cows, £7/10/- to £9/5/lighter cows (unfinished), £5/15/- to £6/7/6; store cows, £4/7/- to £4/15/-; cows with calves, £5/1/- to £6/15/-; 2yr Holstein Steers, £6/15/-; 18month to 2yr Shorthorn heifers, £6/5/-. S.
£6/5/-; good quality Shorthorn steer calves, £4/4/- to £4/7/6; others, £l/17/- to £3/-/-; Boiling Bulls, £2/15/- to £9/7/6; 18-month Shorthorn steers, £5/17/6; 2 to 3yr Shorthorn stesrs, £B. Sheep : Prime Ewes, 25/6 to 26/6; sound mouth ewes, 13/7 to 17/-; best woolly M.S. lambs, 14/5; M.S. woolly lambs, 12/7, 13/-. Pigs : porkers, 3/5 to 3/12; stores, £2/4/to £2/9/-; slip, £l/15/- to £2/-/-; weaned, 15/- to £l/6/-.
