PIRST PRIZE TO PAHIATUA. NOTHING- SUBSTANTIAL TO WAIKATO. The in connection with , the Auckland Aero Club's art union took place last evening, the first prize of £2OOO being won by a Pahiatua residents Following were the winners of the principal prizes:— Mrs E. Stone, Pahiatua, £2OOO. Miss Eva McLachlan, G-isborne, £SOO. Mr W. Clever, Ruakaka, £250. The four prizes of £IOO went to Miss G. Hnngerford, Petrie Street, Christchurch; A. D. Boulton, Curran Street, Ponsonby; J. Anderson, Ikamatua, Wefp Coast; and L. C. Fowler, Blenheim. Oni M of the four prizes of £SO went to a resident of Remuera. Prizes of £25, £lO and £5 brought the total to 105 prizes. The numbers receiving £SO prizes were: A 63377, C 89635, A 36490, and F 80797.

The £25 prize's were drawn by the f ollowing:C3l634, F 58067, F 36619, and 780797.

A 44052, A 35920, C 47214, F 46019. It is expected that the art union will show a surplus of some thousands. The money is to be used in developing an aerodrome near Auckland.
