The New Zealand Loan and Mcrcani tile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report aa follows: ■ A 1 sale of pedigree bulls was held at Te Awamutu on Friday last, under the auspices of the Te Awamutu Jersey Club. Breeders in the district made a generous response with their entries, and the class of bulls brought out were of a high standard.' Jerseys occupied the greater proportion of the space in the catalogue, with a few Shorthorns and Ayrshires. . .:.[ J There was a large attendance of the public and bidding, was keen throughOut, and a most satisfactory sale resulted. We had an entry of 54 bulls, and with the exception of four, these were all disposed of. The highest price of ..the sale, 52gns, was reached for the yearling ".Superior Lord," which we sold on account Of Mr G. W. Johnston, Hairini. He is a son of "Holly Oak Superior Chief,"' from {'Marshlands Dainty," and was awarded first prize previous to the sale. Other yearling Jersey bulls made from 15 to 40gns; 2-year-old Jerseys 25 to 32Jgns, this figure for the bull "Golden Eeynard," sold on account of Mr C. Parker, which obtained first prize in the 2-year-old class; aged bulls 16 to Ssgns. A large 'entry of grade bulls sold at satisfactory prices. FROZEN MEAT. The New Zealand Loan and'Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. ,Hamilton, have received the following cablegram from their London office, under date 14th instant:— N.Z. Frozen Meat: Lamb, 9kl per lb (average). Mutton: Wether and maiden ewe, light 6kl per lb; heavy, s|d per lb; ewe, light, 5d per lb; heavy 4|d per lb. Market quiet. . N.Z. HEMP. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date 14th instant: — N,Z. Hemp: We quote c.i.f. and e.
