ELECTION OF THREE MEMBERS. ME F. LYE’S CANDIDATURE. / Alessrs .J. R. Thacker, W. Goodfellow and 11. D. Forsyth, who are tho three retiring members of the Dairy Produce Export Control Board this year, will offer .themselves for re-election. Nominations close on May 20, and the election will take place on .Tunc 15. The Herald yesterday published a telegram from Wellington to the effect that Mr F. Lye, ex-M.P. for Wailcato, would probably oppose Mr Goodfellow. Questioned on this matter by a Waikato Independent reporter, Air Lye stated that the announcement was rather premature. Certainly- lie had been approached with a view tQ his candidature, but, said Mr Lye, the matter had yet to be considered by a further conference, and in the meantime he preferred to say no more on the subject.
