' • TE AWAMUTUy this day. ■ ; Fire at midnight gutted an old unoccupied dwelling, the front portion of which was occupied bv Mr Findlay, tailor? C/Tko flames had a good hold When discovered and burnt fiercely. The brigade checked the fire, but the building,’though standing, was 1 gutted. The building was insured for £2ofl and Mr Findlay’s stock for £100; both in the New Zealand Office. A four-roomed farmhouse at KurMBJ nui, near Morrinsville, was completely 7 destroyed by fire on Thursday night. The house was previously owned by Mr ' C. E. Shakeshafty who-left yesterday to ; live in Hamilton. - The hew owner, Mr Collins, of .Hamilton, was to take, over the farm to-day. The dwelling was insured- for £ooo.
