HENRY FORD INJURED. CAR GOES OVER A BANK. (By Cable —Press Association), (Received 11 a. m,) NEW YORK, March dit. Henry Ford was taken to the Bewjr Ford Hospital at Detroit where he iaf> being treated for injuries, sustained when a Ford coupe driven by himself was forcod off the, south drive. The ear plunged down .a 20ft. embankment, striking a tree. Ford was knocked tutconscious, but shortly recovered eonsciousncss and walked towards his estate, where he met a gatekeeper. The latter summoned Mrs Ford and both. ■ took Ford home. It was found necessary the following day to remove him to a hospital in an ambulance, where aminor operation was performed. Doctors now pronounce him resting easily with no serious complications expected. Ford was driving alone at the time of the accident. THE ROYAL TOUR. DUKE AND DUCHESS IN N.S.W. (Received 11.30 a.m.) i- ' LONDON, March 28, Queen Mary is arranging to 3iav<f a children’s house-party at Windsor €a-s----tle at Easter, as the little Prince** Elizabeth will bo in the household. King Georgo and Qiieen Mary will go to Windsor on Saturday with Princes* Elizabeth. Princess Mary’s little 9am George hud Gerald will join them curly in April. Nurseries have been prepared at the Castle for the children, who will bring their own toys and pots and their nurses. Queen Mary has specially supervised the whole arrangements. One of the pleasures the elder children will have will be to. join the Queen’s parties to pick daffodils. When Queen Mary visited Windsor Castle in war timo 'she noticed that the daffodils were running to waste. She suggested to the ladies of the household i that* they should pick them,; for the wounded. *

' AMERICA AND MEXICO. POLITICAL PLOT LAID BARE. DIPLOMATIC PAPERS 1 FORGED. . (By Cable —Press Association). (Received" 12 : noon). NEW YORK, March 28. The Washington correspondent of che New York Times says the United States has narrowly escaped a sariows crisis in its relations with Mexico. It is understood that documents were forged which bore tho signature of the Secretary of State, Mr F. B. Kellogg, and othor officials of the Americans Govormhent, and ostensibly contained instructions from the State Department to the American Ambassador to Mexico, Mr J. R. Sheffield, which purported to show that the United States planned war on Mexico or sought to foment a revolution in that country. These documents fell into the hands of the resident, General Calles, and wore shown to a prominent American journalist who was visiting General Calles us convincing evidence' of the bad faith of America in its relations with Mexico. The journalist sugge.sted that General Calles should inform the President of the United States, Mr Calvin Coolidge. An exchange of Notes between the two Governments disclosed that the documents were, spurious. It is not certain whether the identity of tho perpetrators of the forgery is known or not.
