BOARD’S FUTURE POLICY. , ' v WELLINGTON, this day. After the withdrawal of tlm deputation of producers who conveyed resolutions passed by'tlio Palmerston North conference, the Dairy Produce Control Board adopted a resolution of appreciation of the general support given the board in tho conference’s first resolution, but disagreeing with the •statement in the second resolution that the board was responsible for a heavy loss to the industry. The board decided to inform the deputation that, a full meeting of the board would bo held in June, after the return of the members from the- London agency, to consider the board’s future policy.
M Timpany then moved in accordance with his notice of motion: ‘ ‘ That compulsory control be suspended and mado absolute at the ond of the season, and that the board reorganise on the lines of the Meat Control Board and the Australian Control Board.”
The motion was rejected after a formal discussion by seven votes to one, Mr Hunt not voting in view of the board’s reconsideration of its policy at the June meeting. , t
