INTER-CLUB MATCHES An inter-club match against Hamilton was played at Cambridge on Saturday last, between a team of five ladies and five men on each side. A close match resulted in a win for Hamilton by one game, viz., 5£ win to 4-J. Following are the results: — Mrs Slack defeated Mrs D. Hay, 3 and 2; Miss Hally defeated Mrs Bray, 3 and 1; Miss Lundon lost to Miss Wilkinson, 2 down; Miss M. Cox lost to Mrs Blythe, 3 and 2; Mrs Nicoll lost to Mrs Walshe, 4 and 3; N. Banks lost to F. Bond, 2 and 1; H. Nelson defeated H. Gillies, 1 up; M. Wells lost to E. Tate, 1 down; A. H. Nicoll defeated S. Ellis, 3 and 2; N. Sutherland and J. Horton all square. A Cambridge B team played,, a match against Hamilton at Hamilton on the. same day, and suffered defeat by nine matches to three.
