A DESERVING CASE
SUBSCRIPTIONS WANTED We have been asked to endorse the appeal now being made on behalf of the little boy, Clyde Redshaw, six years of age, who recently while crossing the railway line at Huntly on returning from school was run over by a waggon and had both hands almost severed. At the Hamilton Hospital it was tound necessary to amputate both forearms, a little below the elbow. As one of a fairly large family of somewhat delicate constitutions, the burden ef his upbringing and education will be a serious drain on the resources of his parents, who are not in a position to secure the artificial limbs and to educate the boy so that he may have a chance of fighting his own battle through life. A local committee has been formed at Huntly to raise a fund by means of which it is hoped that the little fellow may be equipped for his hard fight, and it is thought that as the case is a thoroughly deserving one assistance will cheerfully be forthcoming from other parts of the Waikato. Donations either sent to Messrs Souter Co or left at the office of this paper will be acknowledged in these columns. Amounts small or large, will be gladly received.
