CAMBRIDGE HOCKEY BALL
* r _ The Annual Ball under the auspices of the Cambridge Hockey Association was jield last night in the Town Hall. The Committee, headed by Mr K. R. Court, had worked hard to render the evening a success and the preparations were even more perfect than on any previous occasion. The floor was in perfect condition, whilst Mr Moeller’s orchestra, which had come all the way from Te Awamutu, discoursed excellent music. Unfortunately, however, the attendance in point of numbers fell short of expectations and was disappointing. Nevertheless those present spent a most enjoyable time. The catering was most ably carried cut by Mr W. Muller, and the supper served came in for warm commendation from all. Members of the Auckland team were In attendance and dancing was continued up to the small hours of this morning. As will be seen from our advertising columns, another dance will be held to-night in the Town Hall, when, it is hopdd, a larger company will assemble to give a helping-hand to the Hockey Club. =
