SPRING FLOWER SHOW

;The committee of the Cambridge

Spring Flower Show have decided to .alter the date of their annual exhibition ' ' to September 20 and 21, so that ample time may be given for blooms to mature, and also to avoid clashing with the Auckland Show. Mr A. E. Grindrod, of Auckland, whose decisions have always given satisfaction, has again been requested to judge narcissi and pot plants, and Mrs Grindrod has been invited to make the awards in the decorative section. Several new

classes have been added to this section; including decorated exhibit, any design, open to school children only, and what is bound to prove an attractive feature, best dressed child (floral) representing Spring. Trophies to the value of £1 Is will be awarded to the exhibitor gaining most points in floral and decorative classes respectively. The following have been appointed stewards:—Judge’s Stewards, Mrs Croxford and Mr A. Fisher; Floral, Mr F. Sharp; Decorative, Mrs Croxford; Pot Plants, Mias Gray; Music, Miss Perkins and Mr K. Ashton ; General Supervisor, Mr A. N. Macky. Schedules may be obtained from the Hon. Secretary, Mr N. C. Marshall.

In connection with the Flower Show, which is held under the auspices of the Cambridge Presbyterian Church, a sale of work will be held.
