FOOTBALL.

TO-MORROW’S MATCH. The second round of the senior fixtures will be played on Victoria Square tomorrow afternoon, when East and West will meet. The match will commence at 2.38 sharp, and players arc urged to be punctual. The following will represent East: — Pearson, Black, West, Crickett, Jackson, Fraser, Hewlett, Palmer, Watts, Recce, R. Newcombe, Valentine, Forbes, Care, Windsor. Emergencies Stephenson, Muiphy, Capper. The West team will be picked from the following : —Stichbury (3), J. Tucker, 11. Atkins, W. Allen, Hay (2), Willoughby,

Bailey, J. Keclcy, A. Crickett, B. Allen, D. Hicks, Montgomery, King, Watkins, and W. O’Halloran. Members of the teams taking part in to-morrow’s match arc urged to. avail themselves of the accident insurance scheme. The Secretary will be present prior to the match starting to collect the necessary fee from each player willing to insure. RUGBY UNION.

A meeting of the Management Committee of the Cambridge Rugby Union was held last night, Mr, E. Brocklesby in the chair. Mr W. R. McVeagh was elected hon. secretary of the Union, and Mr Goldsworthy was appointed to take Mr McLean’s place on the Management Committee. The protest from East .juniors against the West-Juniors for playing ineligible men was considered, and it was decided that the match should be re-played at an early dale. A letter was received from the Lower Waikato Union re a match with the Cambridge Union. The Secretary was instructed to endeavour to arrange a match at Cambridge.

Mr MeVeagh was appointed referee for to-morrow’s match. The Union resolved to thank Mr Bygrave for his donation of one guinea. The Committee will meet again oil Monday evening at the Farmers’ Club Boom, at 7.80 o’clock. 1 MEETING OF EAST PLAYERS. An important meeting of East players living on the East side of the river is called for at the Masonic Hotel to-morrow evening, at 7.80 o’clock. A full attendance is requested. , HAMILTON MATCHES. City met Suburbs West at Frankton on Saturday, City winning by 8 points to nil. The junior match of the above Clubs ended in a draw, neither aide scoring. 1 Hamilton, and Suburbs East : "played an evenly contested game at 1 Steele Park, but no-side -was called without any score being recorded. The No. j I Club juniors won by 21 to nil. i AUCKLAND MATCHES. : Ponsonby beat Parnell, 17 to nil; City beat Newton, 24 to nil ; North Shore beat Grafton, 5 to nil.
