WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

The monthly meeting of this Council was held at Ohaupo on Tuesday morning. Present: Crs. J. Fisher (chiarman), E. Allen, P. Potts, W. H. Grant, W. G. Macky, A. Bell, W. Eothwell and E. D. Duxfield.

Mr James Keely wrote asking for some repairs on the road between Jarrett's corner and his property.—The supervisor was instructed to effect repairs asked tor.

Mr H. Fitzgerald, clerk of the Cambridge West Domain Board, applied for a refund of £8 3s cost of survey of the Cambridge West Cemetery. He said the Deputy Controller and Auditor took exception to this item, which should be paid by the Waipa County Council.—No responsibility acknowledged. Ee conveyance of 524-27, 529-531, Cambridge sections, Mr Swarbrick wrote to the Council to the effect that the title of 524 was defective, but was good enough to hold. The owner was willing to sell the acres with good titles and hold the others.—Left to the Chairman and Cr. Allen to arrrange The Chairman stated that the member for the district, Mr Greenslade, had promised to do all he could in the matter of borrowing the money required by the Council from the Government, and the Clerk was instructed, to make a list of the amounts actually required and forward same to the member for Waikato.
