WEDDING AT HAMILTON
LIMMER-TRETHOWEN. 'A large company of relatives and friends assembled at Wesley Church, yesteulay, to witness the marriage of Mr Stephen John Limmer, of Te Kowhai, to Miss Violet Trethowen, of Claudelunds. As both belong to well-known families, who have resided for a long time in the district, and aie much respected, considerable interest was shown in the ceremony. The church was decorated witn white llowers, and the service was choral. Miss May Clothier played the Wedding March, and the Rev. J. Wrigley was the officiating minister, Miss lone Wilson, of Devonport, was the bridesmaid, and Mr W. Limmer best man. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dress of white satin striped voile, trimmed with silk lace and beaded trimming, with the usual veil, orange blossoms and bouquet. The bridesmaid's dress was of cream cloth, and she wore a cream velvet hat.
After the ceremony the fiiends adjourned to the home of Mr Trethowen, of Claudelands, where they were hospitably entertained. The toasts of the bride and bridegroom, the bridesmaid and the parents of the parties were duly honoured and suitable speeches made by Rev. J. Wrigley, the bridegroom, Mr Limmer, Mr Trethowen, Mr Jebson and Mr Nicholson. The happy couple left for the south by the .afternoon train. The bride's travelling dress, consisted of a sealette costume with hat to match. Their future home willbe at Koromatuu.
