BEAUTIFUL WOMAN'S BODY WASHED UP. Buda-Pest, January I'S. An elegant travelling basket containing the body of a beautiful woman was washed up on the river bank at Buda-Pest. The indications are that the woman was poisoned or suffocated. A chautl'eur identified the body as that of a lady he had driven on Friday evening to the open country where she entered a house which he is now unable to identify. Early on Saturday a market woman saw a man and a woman in the street, dragging a heavy travelling basket towards the Danube. Footsteps of a man and a woman were discovered near where the basket was found. The victim is supposed to be an actress. The police are seeking an actor who travelled from Germany to Buda-Pest. Received 12.40 a.m., 13th. Buda-Pesth, January 13. The victim proves to be a lady by name Elsa Turscany, who was very wealthy. She had been strangled with a towel while asleep. It is stated that three men came in a motor to her house on Friday and took her away with them. She was then wearing jewels worth £4OOO.
