Panama Exposition
Received 5.5 p.m., 11th. San Frncicso, January 10. A luncheon was given yesterday by the authorities of the Panama Exposition in honour of Sir Robert Balfour, Liberal M.P. for the Partick division of Lanarkshire. The guest of the evening declared that Britain was likely to reconsider her decision against exhibition at the great fair. Her non-participation was not due to unfriendliness, but because of the fact that the interests most likely to benefit had not responded fittingly.
