THE NEW MINISTRY
By Telegraph.— Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Sir Joseph Ward will probably tender his resignation to the Goveror tomorrow when Mr Mackenzie will be called upon to form a Cabinet. That process will occupy, perhaps, a couple of days. Meanwhile it is evident that trouble is arising in regard to the selection of the Canterbury and West Coast Ministers. Mr Ell, whose chances were considered small up to the present, is putting in a big claim. Mr Russell will be greatly disappointed if not chosen. Mr Colvin and his friends are urging his appointment as Minister for Mines, for which position Mr Seddon and Mr Poland are mentioned. Mr Poland’s chances are at present remote. Wellington, This Day. Sir J. G. Ward anticipates that he will be able to hand bis resignation to the Governor today, Hon. T. McKenzie will then be sent for, and be sworn in with the new Cabinet. Sir J. G. Ward states that he will make a statement to the press in the evening it the new Ministry takes office today.
