HAMILTON WEST DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL.

Last night the committee of the Hamilton West District High School met, when the following members were present: -Messrs J. A. Young, chairman, R. A. Andrews, secretary. R. Parr, Harris, Turhott, Auld, Whitaker and Mrs Henderson. The balance sheet was received from the Audit Cilice. It was decided to inform the Rev. A. Govv that the committee had no objection to the Presbyterian Bible Conference members using the school for sleeping quarters next Christmas, provided that his committee made ample provision for cleaning, and indemnified the school committee against damage by lire or otherwise. The Hoard of Education notified the committee that it had applied to the Government for a grant sufficient to provide accommodation for an additional 100 children at Frankton. Several small matters concerning the school at Frankton were left in the hands of Mr Harris and the head teacher to deal with. The sum of 30a was voted for scrubbing the Hamilton West School during the holidays. it was resolved to write to Mr ,1. Farrell, Board of Education architect, in regard to the improvements to be made in the sanitary service at the principal school. The chairman was authorised to get noxious weeds cut on the school property, and several accounts were passed for payment
