Morrinsville.

The Morrinsvillc Entertainment Society’s third social eventuated on Friday evening last, and proved most enjoyable and successful. Progressive games and competitions were gone through until 10 p.m., when it was found MrsJ. J. Watts had won the ladies’ prize for the most events won, and Mr J. Simpson the gentlemen’s. Miss E Snell and Mr H. Hotson qualified for the booby prizes, the presentation of which caused much amusement. Dancing was then indulged in until shortly after midnight. The committee are to be congratulated on the excellence of the arrangements. Mr J. Murrell, who was for a number of years on the staff of Messrs H. and J. Clifford, has been appointed manager of the Waihi Workers’ Cooperative Society.
