ODDFELLOWS’ SOCIAL.

Tins first social ami dance in connection with the Loyal Hamilton Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F., was field in the Volunteer llall last evening. It was very largely attended by members and their friends, and although tho weather could not possibly have been worse, quite 70 couples took part in tho festivities. No attempt bad been made at decorating, the brethren deciding to devote their energies to the preparation of a good floor rather than upon the an remunerative task of endeavouring to embellish the dreary old building. in this respect they were amply repaid, for the dancers pronounced it excellent. The music was supplied by Mr Savage’s band, consisting of the 1 following players: —Mrs Bosworth (piano), Mr Savage (violin), Mr 11. Salmon (cornet) and Mr S. M each am (double bass), and was highly pleasing to all, A large number of visiting brethren were present, including P.G. Bro. Salmon, Royal Oak Lodge, London, N.VV. j P.G. lire. Hughes, Yarrawonga Lodge, Victoria; P.G. Bro. W. 0. Burgess, Loyal Stratford Lodge; N.G. Bro Morse, Loyal Hot Springs Lodge, To Aroha; P.G . Bro. Barker, To Awaunitu Lodge; Bro.
