MAGISTRATE'S COURT, TE AWAMUTU.
TnoESDAY—(Before Mr H. W. North' croft, S.M). LIQUOR CASES.
The case against Henry Hetet, of supplying liquor to a prohibited person on the Te Awamutu racecourse, was dismissed. James P. Gaffey, who last Court day was called upon to show cause why be should not be imprisoned for having an interest in the liquor business, appeared. The Magistrate said he believed Gaffey was trying to get out of the business, but his wife appeared to etill hang on. If Gaffey could persuade his wife to stop selling he would be kept out of Mount Eden. He warned them for the last time to give up the business.—The case was adjourned for a mon'.h. MISCELLANEOUS. The case against the young men Hathaway and Fitzpatiick, of shooting at a hen pheasant was dismissed.
A conviction with costs was recorded against J. Taylor for obstructing the police when searching Galley's house under a warrant.
