OBITUARY.
DEATH OF SIR GEORGE GYEY. COMMENTS OF THE P. ESS. (I'.Y KLKCTRIC TELKOHAPH. LoNBON, September 20. The death is announced of Sir George Grey. The immediate cause of death was congestion of the brain, accompanied by slight, paralysis. The Times refers to the deceased statesman's striking, commanding,and domineering personality. The Standard says Sir George Grey deserves the lasting gratitude of the nation. The Daily News states that he was typical of what was best and strongest in the British race. The funeral takes place on Friday. (Received September 21, 10.20 a.m.). Sydney, Septemblr 21. The newspapers contain eulogistic articles on Sir George Grey's commmiding personality and statesmanship. _ (11T TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION). Auckland, Last Night. Flags were half-mast throughout the city and ou the public buildings, on account of the deatli of Sir George Grey. His Worship the Mayor cabled to the Agent-General to put a wreath on the coffin on behalf of the citizens of Auckland.
