NGARUAWAHIA ROWING CLUB.

The annual meeting cf the Ngaruawahia Rowing Club was held in the Town Hall on Tuesday, the 20th inst. There was a fair attendance of members. Mr T. \V. Davies occupied the chair. The Secretary (Mr F. V,'. Hunt) read the anniril report, whieh reviewed the work of the year, and stated that .during the period the club had acquired two inrigged gigs, that some very successful trial fours' had been held, but that at the ]\garuawahia and Hamilton Regattas the club's representatives had been unsuccessful ; that there had been an increase in the members' subscriptions upon those of the previous year ; and, lastly, that an auxiliary club (the Ladies' Rowing Club) had been formed and had raised £2l and purchased two boats. Mr T. U. Wells (the treasurer) read the balance-sheet, which showed that the receipts amounted to £46 10s Gd and the expenditure to £4O Bs, leaving a credit balance of i'b' 7s 'id. Both the annual report and the balancesheet were considered highly satisfactory, and were passed as read. The following officers and committee were elected for the ensuing year : President : Mr F. W. Lang, M.H.R. Vice-Presidents : Messrs Simmelhag and T. W. Davies. Captain : Mr H. Hurr. Secretary and Treasurer : Mr F. W. Hunt. Committee : Messrs Rathborue, Cavanagh, Morris, YV. Patersoo, Lynch, Skelton and Aubrey, [t was resolved that the subscription for the year be ss, with an entrance fee of ss. (Own Correspondent).
