NGARUAWAHIA.

Wkdeisu.—That we have had numerous pretty weddings in our community no* one will deny, but probably never was so picturesque an affair celebrated here as un Monday morning last. The contracting parties were Miss Mary Wallace, the youngest daughter of Mr C. Wallace, senr., and Mr Egerton Green, of the firm of .Starr ano Green. The Rev. Thos. Walls, M.A., performed the ceremony at the residence of the bride's parents, and substqueritly made a speech wishing the happy couple every felicity in the new sphere of life opening before them. Miss Wallace, who is a Ngaruawahia girl, looked exceedingly well in white nuns veiling, trimmed with antique point lace. Miss Amy Green, sister ot the bridegroom, assisted Miss Wallace as bridesmaid, and Mr Geo. Starr supported his partner as best man. Amongst those present were Mr and Mrs Wallace, senr. (parents of the bride), Mr and Mrs C. Wallace (brother and sister-in-law of the bride), Mrs and Miss Niccol, Mrs and Miss Paterson, Mr G. Starr and Miss Green. The couple were the recipients of many handsome presents, and left for a short wadding tour to Auckland amid fchowers of the usual luck tokens. The good wishes of Ngaruawahia follow the couple during their honeymoon, as Mrs Green has grown tip amongst us and has endeared herself to the community at large. Her parents are amongst the oldest settlers of Ngaruawahia, and the happy occasion on which their daughter was married to so respected a resident will long be remen.bered by a wide circle of friends.—(Own Correspondent). .
