# President Cleveland vetoed the Alien Immigration Bill. The House, notwithstanding, has pa3sed the Immigrants Restriction Bill. The Republican Committee of Ways and Means of the Housj have restored the McKinley rates of IS9O, so fer as coal and coke are concerned. Mr Smalley, the New York correspondent of the London Times, states that McKinley's ideas in the inaugural address will not be jingoistic, and that he will strongly favour general arbitration. President Cleveland has drawn an International Money Conference Bill.
