JAMESON RAID.
—« — London, March 3. In course of examination, Mr Cecil Rhodes declared he would never repeat such an illegality as the Jameson raid. He admitted he held 50,000 shares in the Chartered Company. A suggestion by Mr Labouchere that interests of pocket dictated the Jameson raid, gave rise to a scene. Mr Rhodes asserted that the Uitlauders are treated worse than the Kaffirs, and that ore is taxed at the rate of 36s per ton.
