MASTERTON-OPAKI CLUB' PAIRS COMPETITION. The concluding stage of the-patfa-competition of the Masterton-Opaki Rifle Club was reached on Saturday' and won by D. S. McKenzie and R. V. Mason who scored better at the long' ranges than T. Oakly and' J. Curtin, who scored the same number of points. Interest in the competition suffered 1 somewhat by the absence of Tour members, who w’ere paired last week. Pickering leads with 11 consecutive bulls-eyes at 800 yards. Next Saturday’s ranges will be 300, 500 and 600 yards. Members are requested to keep in mind that the first field day and preliminary stage of the club championships will take place oa December 12.
