A FAMILY FARM.
FATHER AND FOUR SONS. SUPPORT- OF ASSOCIATION. A rare happening among New Zealand farming organisations was the election the other day of a father and his four sons as life members of the Auckland Metropolitan Agricultural and Pastoral Association. Impressed by the work of the association, Mr. H. W. Driver, a farmer of Clevedon, applied for life membership for himself and his sons, Messrs A. V. Driver, E. M. Driver, W. D. Driver and H. L. Driver, whose ages range from 23 years to 16.
As a youth, Mr. Driver, sen., was a printer, before adopting farming, as his life’s work 37 years ago, when he was 19 years of age. In aU, he developed five farms in the Pukekohe, Waikato, Manurewa and Clevedon districts, the last-named farm of 750 acres having been acquired 11 years ago. “We are all enthusiastic agriculturists,” said Mr. Driver. “The farm has been surveyed and subdivided into four, and it it my intention to allow my sons to work and develop their own sections in future.''
