SESSION PLANS.
PREMIER EXPRESSES CONFIDENCE. REFERENCE TO REACTIONARY FORCES. WELLINGTON, September 6. “I am facing 7 the-coming session with less worry and more confidence than I have faced any previous session," stated the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) to-day. “The Government’s plans are working out just as we had hoped—there is evidence of this from all parts. My recent Visit to the South Island made clear to me the people’s attitude towards the Government’s actions to date. The history of New Zealand politics puts it beyond all reasonable doubt that any attempt to bring about social justice will always receive opposition from the reactionary forces of the Dominion. The experience of the Rt. Hon. R. J. Seddon is sufficient evidence of this. ’ ’ ADDRESS IN REPLY. PROPOSER AND SECONDER. WELLINGTON, September 6. The debate on the Address in Reply in the House of Representatives will be opened by Mr. J. Thorn, member for Thames, and the seconder will be Mr. J. G. Barclay, member for Marsden, according to an announcement made by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M, J. Savage) to-day.
