KIATERE HARRIERS.

SATURDAYS FRIENDLY RUN. The Kiatere Harrier Club held a friendly race on Saturday with a run in over the last qupvter of a mile. About 30 runners followed a fourmile trail, mainly cross-country, the event resulting in a win for C. Stewart. W. McDonald ran second and S. Brannigan third. Mr C. Traill, welcoming new members, outlined the progress the club had made since its inception five years ago, and Mr Alec Burns, club captain, discussed the plans and training schedule for the coming season. Members and supporters were entertained at afternoon tea after the run.
