N.Z. LOAN & MERCANTILE. The New Zealand Loan & Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: We held our Autumn horse sale yesterday when our offering comprised of twenty-five horses of all classes. u All of these were sold with the exception of five. Good draughts were in keen demand, while inferior sorts met with a dragging market. The few good hacks offered also met with a good sale. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Masterton horse sale held yesterday as follows:—A large number of horses of all weights came forward and met with a good sale from a large attendance of buyers. There was a good demand throughout for draughts and any of these- showing quality made good values. We report a total clearance under the hammer as follows:—3yr. draught gelding, broken to chains, £4O; 5-yr. draught mare (light), £2B; aged draughts, £l5 to £lB/10/; aged gelding hack and harness, £11; hill hacks, £7/10/, £B, £9, £lO, £lO-/10/ to £11; child’s pony, £5/10/. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report:—A big yarding of hacks, draughts and harness horses came forward at the fair yesterday and was offered to a large attendance. Buyers showed discretion and good horses were keenly sought after, but inferior sorts were hard to quit. .
