MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. A meeting of. the Management Committee of the Wairarapa Rugby Union was held in the P. and A. Rooms on Thursday night. There were present— Messrs G. Wilsqn (presiding), Q. Donold, J. C. D. Mackley, L. Roach, C. A. 'Gray, F. Booth, R. Pickard, K. Fairbrother, M. Parker, E. McKenzie (secretary), H. A. McPhee^(treasurer). It was decided to- place the Gladstone ground onrthe same‘basis as other ■grounds, paid gatekeepers to be engaged. . - The Red Star- Club entered senior, junior an’d third grade teams in the competitions. . _ G. Whiteman was granted regrading from senior to junior at the request of ‘the Red Star - Club. The Manawatu Rugby Union wrote confirming August 7 as the date of the. Wairarapa-Manawatu match. The. Association wrote requesting’ '.a- ruling on gear inspection, and it was decided that referees have power to carry jout inspections at any time they wish. . It was decided to donate £2 2s to the King George V Memorial Fund. J. Fraser, Greytown Club, was granted re-grading ffbm senior to junior. Charges for admissioft 1 * to representative matches are to be fixed for each particular match. Charges for the Wairarapa v. Hawke’s Bay match on May 12 are to be 2s and Is.

A sub-committee comprising Messrs Pickard, Mackley and McKenzie was appointed to fix the curtain raiser for the above match. The commencement of all competitions below third grade is to be held over 'till the epidemic restrictions are lifted. TEAMS FOR TO-DAY. RED STAR. The following is the Red Star senior team to play Gladstone to-day at Gladstone. The bus will leave the P.O. at 1.15 p.m.:—McCullough, Hills, Johnston, M. Howard, Hogan, Henson, P. Olarke, B. Clarke, Carrig, Kerwain, Thompson, R. Howard, Sutherland, Harding, Grantham, C. Stewart, Church, O’Connor, Cross, McCord., McClelland, D. Stewart. The following is the Red Star junior team to play Opaki to-morrow:—E.. Granthapi, B. Howard, McNab, Duneen, Gow, Clarke, Costello, Swain, Ewington, Harman, Morgan, Green, Harris, Lee, Amundsen, Hall, Whiteman. The following is the Red Star third grade team to play Martinborough, at Martinborough, on Saturday. The bus will leave the P.O. at 1.30 p.m. sharp:— Williams, Golder, Rutherford, Osborne (2), Prescott, Roys, Gemmell, Percy, Corlett, Dingwall, Levens, Needham, Rippon, Allen, Wyeth, Moss, Wickens. OPAKI CLUB. All those who intend playing for the Opaki Club are requested to be on the ground as early as possible, to elect a captain, ete.
