MARTINBOROUGH BRANCH. The annual meeting of the Martinborough branch of the Wairarapa R.S.A. was held on Wednesday night, when there was a good attendance. Mr. T. H. Smith presided. The report reviewed the work of the branch for the year. Dances had been held in Martinborough and at Tuturumuri in aid of the War Graves fund. The former realised £4 Ils 7d and the latter £4 13s, for which thanks were expressed to all who worked for this fine result. The fund was further increased by a collection on Anzae Day which realised £4 5s 7d making a total of £l3 10s out of which had been paid £8 8s 8d for a headstone. The branch again returned thanks to the Mayoress (Mrs W. B. Martin) for organising the sale of poppies, which with donations realised £22 6s 6d. Twenty-five members paid their subscriptions, among these being 3 new members. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. N, H. Thomas; vicepresident, Mr. F. Craig; secretary, Mr. N. C. D. Mason; committee, Messrs J. Martin, E. Findlay, W. J. McNally, J. Jenkins. Delegates to central committee: Mr. N. H. Thomas.
