SHIRLEY TEMPLE’S TROUBLES.
BIG CLAIM BY PRODUCER. FORMER CONTRACT ALLEGED. (Received Thursday, 11.0 p.m.) LOS ANGELES, October 7. Trouble occurred for Shirley Temple to-day when Jack Hays, an independent movie producer, sued the child’s parents, Twentieth Century Fox Films and two banks for 500,000 dollars and a percentage of earnings, alleging that In 1932 he had a contract to train the star. Also, to-day at Atlanta, a youth of sixteen was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury for attempted extortion from Shirley Temple’s parents of 25,000 dollars.
