EVENTS AT OLYMPIAD.
SWIMMING AND BOXING. MEDALS WON TO DATE. BERLIN, August 12. Aquatic events again formed the most important part of the programme at the Olympic Games to-day. The boxing was also continued and resulted in N. Fisher (New Zealand) being eliminated from the lightweight division. In the final of the 400 free-style the giant Californian Medica allowed the dirpinutive Japanese Uto to make the pace until the last 15 metres, when he desperately spurted. Uto was unable to respond and Medica won by the length of his long arm. The table of medals won so far (gold for first, silver for seconds, and bronze for thirds) includes:—
