WEDDING.
JAMES—DENBEE. The wedding took place at St. Mark’s Church, Carterton, on Saturday afternoon, the Rev. Stent officiating, of Hilda Annie, younger daughter of Mr. W. J. Denbee and the late Mrs. Denbee, Waitangi, Parkvalj, and Frederick John, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. James, also of Parkvale. The bride, who chose for her attendant her cousin, Miss' Thelma Denbee (Masterton), was given away by her brother, Mr. F. Denbee. She looked charming, attractively gowned in a model ensemble of dusky pink matalasse. The frock was cut on slimming lines, and the coat, a contrast, was full with the new full sleeves. The hat was of navy, with touches of dusky pink and she carried a beautiful bouquet to tone. The bridesmaid wore a pretty frock of golden crepe matalasse worn with a brown velvet sash. Her nver the eye hat was also of brown velvet. She wore shoes of gold. Her bouquet was in gold tones. Mr. T. Rayner, carried out the duties of best man. After a reception attended only by near relatives, Mr. and Mrs. F. J. James left for the south. Mrs. James travelling in navy tailored coat, with a grey fox collar. She also wore a bag to tone.
