PAHIATUA SALE.
N.Z. LOAN & MERCANTILE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: —At our weekly sale held yesterday we offered a small yarding of sheep and a fair entry of dairy cattle to, the usual attendance of the public. Sheep met with a good demand and sold at late rates. Dairy cows close to profit and showing quality met with a ready sale at satisfactory prices, but late calvers and indifferent sorts were hard to quit. We quote sales as follow:— Sheep: Aged ewes, r.w. S.D., 23/8; b.f. lambs, 20/8. Cattle: Dairy cows, best, close to profit, £B/10/, £7/10/, £7/5/, £7, £6 10/, £5/10/ to £5; late calvers, £5, £4 10/, £4/7/6 to £3/10/; inferior, £2 15/; rows in milk, £3, £3/2/6; springing heifers, small, £3; Jersey bull, £5 7/6.
